How to Use Scribd to Post PDFs on Blogger Step 1 Log in to your Scribd account and click the "Publish" button to upload the PDF that you want to share via Blogger. Once you've selected your PDF, you'll be prompted to enter a title and description for your file. Step 2 Select the document URL and copy it. Paste the URL into your address bar to view the document. Step 3 Click the "Embed" button. By default it offers the HTML version of the code, but if you want you can try out the Flash version. To change how the document appears in your window, click the "Embed Options" link. Once you're ready, click the "Copy" button. Step 4 Go to Blogger and open a new post for your blog. In the upper-left corner of the post page, click the "HTML" button to switch to the HTML view. Step 5 Paste the embedded PDF where you want the document to appear in the post. Click "Preview" to double-check to make sure that everything looks right.

Embedding a PDF or other Documents into a Blogger Blog From time to time we may be sent or create a document in Word or PDF or even Powerpoint format that we would like to display on our blog. (It's a common question that comes up a lot in the Blogger Help Forums). This simple and quick guide will take you through the process. So read on... 1) We want to upload our file to Google Docs. So goto https://docs.google.com/ Note: Depending on if you use Google Drive the screenshots may say either Google Drive or Google Docs. They are in essence the same thing. 2) Click the Upload Icon and select files. 3) Pick the PDF or other file you want to embed and click Open 4) You'll be presented with a confirmation box. Press the Start Upload button. 5) You'll be presented with an Upload Progress box 6) When that has finished click the filename. 7) This will load the File into your Google Doc/Drive screen. Now we need to "Share" the file so that it will be visible to your readers on your blog. Click the Blue Share button at the Top Right. 8) You will then be presented with the Share Dialogue screen. Click the Change link. 9) Select "Public on the web" and press Save followed by Done. 10) Now we want to grab the Embed Code that we will use to post onto our Blog. Click the File menu then Embed option. 11) You will then be presented with the Embed code. Copy the code by selecting it all and pressing CTRL-C 12) Now goto your Blog and create a New Post and make sure you are on the HTML Tab. In the Blog Post section Paste in your embed code. It should look like this. NOTE: You can alter the width="640" height="480" parts of the embed code to fit the size of your blog. 13) Click the Preview Button and you should see your PDF embedded in your Blog Post. If everything is ok you can go ahead and publish your post. And that's it. So in summary... 1) Upload the file 2) Share the File and get the Embed code 3) Post the embed code to your blog. Alternative Methods GoogleDocs is probably the easiest method although there are certainly others. Goto a free site like http://www.docstoc.com/ or http://www.scribd.com and then upload your PDF/DOC. March 7, 2013 How To Embed PDF and other Documents In Blogger Blog Posts One of our readers requested us to figure out how they can embed PDFs in their Blogger blog. There are many ways through which we can embed PDFs or other documents like Microsoft Word, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint Slides, and Excel Spreadsheets into our Blogger Blog. However, Google Docs is probably the most authentic and reliable way of embedding the PDF documents in a website. Therefore, today in this article, we will show you How to Embed PDFs or any other documents in Blogger Blog Posts. First, go to https://drive.google.com and Sign in into your Gmail or Google account so that you have the admin privilege to the documents that would upload from your system hard drive.  After signing in to your Google account, the next thing is to upload a PDF file from your system hard drive. On pressing the upload icon from the left side panel a drop down menu will pop out which would consist of two options i.e. File and Folder. Just select “File” and head to the next step. Now it will inquire you to select the PDF (document) that you want to embed on your website. Now press the open button and move to the next step. On pressing the open button a small upload wizard would appear on the right side of your screen. It usually takes a minute or two to upload, but it entirely depends upon the size of your file and the speed of your internet connection. Once uploading is finished, click on the file name and it will take you to a new page. Before, you can embed the document you have to change the permission of the file to the public. Thus, select the share button displaying at the top right corner of your screen and change the permission of the file from private to open.  Press change, and select “public on the web” so anyone on the Internet can find and access. No sign-in required. Finally, press the Save button to conclude the wizard. For detailed instructions, check out the following screenshot. After changing the permission settings, now it’s time to grab the embed code. From the quick access tool bar select File >> Embed this PDF file. Now a new window will appear which would provide you the Embed code, copy the whole code and proceed to the next step. After copying the code go to Blogger.com >> Create a new Post >> Select HTML Tab, and paste the code where you would like to see the document to appear. Now within the code that you pasted few moments a go search for /preview and replace it with /edit?usp=sharing. Now publish your article, and that’s it. See the following screenshot. Be default the width of the document is set to 640 pixels while the height is set to 480 pixels. You can reduce the width and height according to your needs. You should now see a PDF attached to your blog posts along with some significant options like download and etc.
